Retorquing Heads
Hi,
A couple months ago I replaced the head gaskets on my '90 Range Rover. I used the composite ones from Atlantic. Anyway, I did them myself but had it at my Rover mechanic for something else. I mentioned something about re-torquing the heads and he said that it wasn't necessary to retorque them when using composite gaskets. What's the consensus on this? I guess my logic is that it can't hurt, but then again if no one else does it then I have better ways to spend my time.
Thoughts? Thanks. -Ted
