Should I buy a Range Rover?
I really love how Range Rovers look and I've always wanted to get one, but all my friends say that they have sooo many problems. I don't know what to do. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I want to buy a brand new one and I don't want to do any work on it.....just drive it. It's just that my friends have told me that alot of things go wrong with them within 3 years of the purchase.
I have older Rovers (90 Classic, 91 Hunter) and I love them. Not much help to you. However, I have a friend who, through his company, has been driving new Rovers ever two years for over a decade now. He has had other higher end cars (MBZ, BMW, etc.) but, once he got to Range Rover; he stuck.

hmm.. just get the car which you like and that bests suits your lifestyle plus the $$$ willing to spend on.. anyways, it would be best to test drive the car first and you decide.. it is also important to check each parts like the wheels, land rover catalytic converter, suspension and mechanical parts - ensure that there are no rust or damage or whatsoever.. anyhow, I had a Rover, and simply just love it!
aside from minor repairs, I have no complain..

My first Range Rover was a 1992 Classic and sold it in 2003. No problems and loved it. I bought my second RR in 2003 and also loved it. There were a few tweaks but nothing major. I just sold it for tax reason and I am now seeking for my next Range Rover. I highly recommend that you buy one.
Ditto to all
I had an excellent one one previously, installed loads of great gear... eventually sold her & regretted it within a week!!!
Now I have another, bought it dead cheap off a trader (who really did not know what a gemhe had!!), fixed all the little ****les in a weekend ( cruise control, central locking, electric windows etc) & installed a greatalarm with remote central locking & remote start!..
I am a happy bunny!!
My friends at work thought I was nutsto get oneagain, now they have seen her & ridden in her, they are in awe!!
The looks you get at a road junction are awesome, even those in pretend or wanna-be 4x4s look at the RR as if to say.. "I wish I had one!"
Do what YOU want to do,
Buy what YOU want to buy,
Listen to no-one else!!... except the wife or the bank manager of course!!

If you want to buy a new one, then clearly money is no object, and you will be under warranty, so you have nothing to worry about in the grand scheme. And if you are in love with the way they look, feel, and drive, then the questiion is answered. It's all good pal. Go with your heart.
If you can afford to buy a warrantied vehichle all your friends will want a ride so they can see their eyes turn green in your vanity mirrors...
If you want a no hassle SUV, Honda makes a CRV. But all your friends will have a dull glaze in their eyes as you drive by.
