Softdash LWB: should I freak out and buy it now?!
#21
Actually the 24 was used and a military 6.2. Super thread, no messing around. Fooled the BeCM with a 35 + 1 missing trigger wheel and TPS. No cruise or tach but what the heck, I only use a tach to double check my 22's hitting it's shift points. About $3600 and change and the sold the 4.6L to cover the 6.2's cost so that's @ $2400 plus whatever the P38 costs. I think you could find a non-runner P38 for about what the LWB is asking. The other interesting thing (for me) was he used a vinyl instead of dipping @ 7 year longevity and no fade. My paint went to crap in less than 6......

Well I've got the military 6.2, gone through top to bottom and even a fresh coat of hemi orange paint.
Was the trigger wheel just retrofitted onto the crank pulley? Was there any spoofing of the BeCM on the transmission side of things? I saw he used a compushift, but didn't catch any reference to it providing feedback to the BeCM... If that's the case, I might go to the -22 and save myself the trouble (and expense).
