I'm looking into replacing the stock speakers in my 1998 4.6 HSE and I was wondering how big they are. I need to know sizes when I replace them. Could anyone give me as many details as possible on as much as you can find about the audio system in these vehicles? I'm trying to make some extensive modifications. Thanks in advanced.

 

Go to Crutchfield.com. They'll list all the speakers and what size they are.

That said, I'm not sure why you'd want to upgrade the stock system. It's really incredible as-is, at least on my '97 HSE it is.

 

I went to "What fits my car?" and input my vehicle details but it doesn't really help me. It hardly finds anything that fits the vehicle and if it does fit, it's absolutely nothing I'm looking for.

 

I have a 98 SE and Best Buy told me to come by and they can remove and order what will fit it. If you are like me I like to do the work myself and in that case remove just the speaker and take it to a real stereo shop they will find a good replacement for you. Unfortunatley I have a few other issues with mine right now, but my rear subs are next on my list!!! Good luck..
