My tailgate light was working less than a month ago. I took it to a shop to fix a oil leak, they replaced both head gasket covers and now my tailgate light don't work they say it wasn't but anyway, i want to fix this and i am trying to figure what in the world the problem could be. all the other light work fine.

 

It shouldn't be related to the work you had done. Not trying to be insulting but did you try replacing the bulbs?

 

nope i haven't tried to replace the bulbs yet, but i figure what are the odds of 5 bulbs blowing out at the same time, so i think it is more than the bulbs. but maybe this weekend i will buy a few new ones to make sure. what i have been looking for is an electrical diagram i guess and when i have time i will have one of my electrician friends test it to see if current is even reaching there. they did something because it was working before i put it in the shop.

 

Maybe a wire got cut or a surge sent to much voltage and blew a fuse.
