A TDV8 in a P38...awesome! As much as I love my '02 P38, I really miss my Powerstroke diesel in my F250. Especially when my son comes home from college and I get to drive my pickup...really makes me miss my diesel...that distinctive sound that I find so reassuring. Just wish I had the same in my Rover.

Default 4.4 project

Hi there

The project will be a reality, we are slowly preparing

We have now found the parts need (well of cause there will always be extra parts, not know until the engine is installed)

The installation of the engine will begin in april/may, and we look very much forward for it.

Right now we have startet to prepaire the supercharger to go on top of the intake, also we have startet looking for a scoop, that will suit the range rover?

Have you guys any link to a scoop you think will fit the p38?

Any progress with the ecu for the zf . looks a fantastic gearbox . Dream build

If you can get over the voice its a decent look at the 8 speed

Yes I will do the build up in pics, so you can follow the project

I have the web smits-auto.dk, I will make a gallery there, and upload the link here!

Well the ECU is a part of the gearbox, only thing needed is the shifter control.
The biggest cost is the new injectors needed, they are cost price 500 usd a pcs!

A original engine ecu is 800 usd + vat
Shifter control 600 usd + vat
electronic gas pedal 200 usd + vat

And then I need a diesel water heater, for the cold winter times. Adapter plate (gearbox to BG transfer), custom radiator, custom pipes, custom exaust etc.

But hope we will end up with the coolest RR

Just had the 380mm range rover brakes installed, instead of my overfinch brakes just amazing! And then it's easy to get new parts without paying 4000 usd for new discs and 600 usd for new pads!
But we had to use spacer on the back of the discs, to clear the lower ball joint!
