Default Trailer Wiring Harness Question

Hi, I bought a used 2007 RR Sport from a dealer and it's fitted with an aftermarket Curt hitch. Looks sturdy but I am wondering where I might expect to find the trailer wiring connector? I figured I would ask before I go snapping off panels and checking behind taillights!

Thanks!

Matt

You will need the factory add-on harness if you don't see a connector next to the hitch. The factory harness supplies a 7 pin and standard 4 pin in one harness.

Factory part number is here- YWJ500170. Land Rover also posts for FREE the installation of accessories on http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/

You may need to register but you don't need a subscription to view this info.

Thank you Peter. The diagrams at the linked website were particularly helpful. I was able to follow the Guide to pop off the hitch cover panel and found there was a 7-pin tow connector mounted. It's an aftermarket connector but it looks like a nice installation.

I'll have to get another of those quarter turn plastic body panel connector screws. They're easy to break!

Regards,

Matt
