The ad states 'orange' and it looks orange or rust or coral or whatever (to me) in the photos so that's probably why it isn't selling. If you like it, go for it. Heck, the camel trophy trucks don't appeal to me either but people make a big fuss out of them Throw seat covers over them, save the interior and sell it 4 years from now - you never know, it could be the next hottest thing...

I attributed the lack of movement to the orange description and decided to move forward. I got the bill of sale and it had 5,200 more miles than advertised. I asked what happened and was told the owner has been driving it everyday, what a moron. He can drive it back to the auction because I told them I was no longer interested.

 

That's odd that he put over 5000 miles on a vehicle he was trying to sell. Better luck next time around - I'm sure the perfect Rover will show up for you. Remember good things come to those who wait!

Well the seller reached back out and said the car wasn't for sale on the lot but was posted online and supposively wasn't updated online in error. He offered the owners number if I wanted to file a complaint or to speak with him further and is offering $58,000 now. I told them I wouldn't even consider it unless it was inspected by Land Rover and also detailed by them. They agreed to do it but I'm still iffy. If they got to $57,000 I'd pull the trigger as they would be at trade in, I need a bigger discount than a $1,000 for an error like this.

On another note I spotted a silver on red autobiography, 38,000 miles for $61,000 which I was going to pull the trigger on but decided I should stick with the ebony/pimento or tan instead of the all red, plus I want a white exterior. So I went from almost buying it to telling the guy the price was too low and to raise it, now I'm helping him with his ad as the poor guy doesn't even know what a carfax is. Hopefully karma comes back in my favor.
