Default Wabco ABS 1990 RRC

1990 RRC with 70k miles, not getting any brakes. Did the 30 pump reset still nothing, anyone have any experience with replacing or fixing the Wabco ABS pumps?

Someone recently was telling me that if the accumulator goes bad it causes the pump to run more often than it should, and that this can cause the relay to burn out.

Might be something to look at. No warranty provided.

I repaired the line by thoroughly inspecting and cutting a good swatch and replacing with new line and compression fittings.

Yet now I am have a slow but consistent leak out of this unit pictured below, directly under the black trapezoid shaped plug.

That is the ABS Booster. When you bleed the brakes after the "repair" you might have added too much fluid to the reservoir. Check the fluid level. Too much can cause the brake fluid to leak from the reservoir cap and drip back towards the firewall.

Or another one of the rear brake lines are leaking near the firewall, under the booster.

Or one of the reservoir seals(there are 2) Land Rover Parts, Accessories and Information is bad causing the leak.

Also check the hose clamp on the hose that goes from the reservoir to the ABS pump.

NEXT: REPLACE ALL THE HARD LINES ON THIS RIG!!!!!!!!! Or have good Insurance!

I'm sure you know, but compression fittings on the brake lines are illegal in all 50 states.

Flared unions are the way to go here.

I do know, the umm story of this rover is that it was given to me after sitting for 6 years by my next-door neighbor, just trying to get it up and running-

Roger that!
The developed pressures are in excess of 1500 psi.
Enough to blow the joint a part with potentially disasterous consquences.
