Default Want to Update my NAV

I have a 2006 with thetouchscreen Nav, but is it the same as say the 2008-09 Nav with the exception of the new NAVTEQ info/maps, meaning, if I buy the 2008-09 NAVTEQ disk, will I have the same NAV as a 2008/09 RR?

If not, can you actually change the interface unit itself in order to have the current NAV system, and not just the current maps?

The reason why I ask is because I love he NAV in my Lexus and was hoping to update the RR NAV to be more comperable to that system and would like the best way to go about doing that. (Literally the only flaw in this vehicle.)

Thanks in Advance

I believe that the NAVTEQ disks contain solely the map data and shouldn't change the interface. You'd most likely need to replace the Nav unit.

Yea the nav on RR's still sucks... they really ought to do something about it.

your system is the same as the system in a 09. and if youre using it correctly, its pretty good, better then most cars ive used. cant argue with the lexus setup though, thats a great system.
