My 2001 disco's ABS, HDC warning, and TC panel lights turn on with engine ignition and stay on. The 3 functions appear to be functioning properly -- the recent storms in NY have helped me test them. :-)

I bought wiring diagrams for my last electrical issue, and they show each of the 3 indicator lamps are controlled by the "ECU-SELF-LEVELLING/ABS (SLABS) (D163)" contoller. I'm guessing either the harness is shorting or the controller itself is bad.

Any advice on testing? Anyone know where this controller is located, so I can inspect the wiring?

My last electrical issue (engine control getting bad input) was a short in the harness that was repaired with tape. I'm hoping to get lucky again!

 

get the codes read, that is why the lights are on.
