First let me say hello, as I am new to this Forum.

I am hopping that somebody might help me understand what could be making this noise.

I have done a lot of reading on here, and other places, but I have yet to understand what the issue is with my 01 Disco.

I can only hear it at idle, and I can't here it inside the vehicle.
It is loudest from under the vehicle near the oil pan, and only starts after worm up.

I dropped the oil pan, and cleaned the oil pick-up, and pan. the pick-up was not lose, or clogged . I also removed all plugs, and checked the rods for any play, they were all tight. I found no sings of metal in the oil.

I am stumped on this one. Please help. Thanks.

Nice you actually put "the sound" on the post. Wish I knew what it could be. Someone on here should know. Disco Mike?

 

ummm? Can anybody tell me if that sound could be rod knock ??
