Default 02 disco 2 abs sensor change/other symtoms

hey!, i just ordered all 4 of the abs wheel sensors to install on my disco. im not getting the 3 amigo lights but did have it on a code reader at a shop and they came up bad. have always had a problem of my breaks locking up if i have to jam them. horrible on ice. tried to milk it for some time and now i have horrible break peddle response. I have to mash the breaks all the way to the floor and it creeps to a slow stop. im not loosing any fluid either.
so, im going to replace all 4 abs. any other ideas/recommendations on what could be wrong? can the abs sensors come out without removing the whole wheel hub?
Thanks Forumies!

worn out rubber brake lines.....old nasty or contaminated fluid.......crusty/damaged calipers.......bad pads.....to name a few. I would at least flush out the fluid
yes you can pop the sensors out in place

are you still driving on the 13 year old rubber brake hoses? And have you tried bleeding tbe brakes using the ABS pump?
