Default '02 Disco coolant leak

My '02 LR Disco 2 sprung a coolant leak this week - a pretty major leak. Can someone please take a look at the pic below and tell me which gasket is leaking? It's the housing behind the water pump housing. How difficult is this repair?

Thanks a ton.

I am pretty much doing the same thing right now. It should be the timing cover. I am just a shade tree mechanic but it is a bitch, especially with all the dirt and grime. I am frustrated but I will get there. Make sure you get the gaskets for everything.

Disconeer, just recently had to replace same gasket on 02 disco. You will need to remove a/c compressor (dont disconnect, just unbolt and place on air filter), remove front mount brackets for a/c, power steering pump, altenator. You will also need to drop the oil pan to unbolt the pickup tube. Because you must drain the coolant system now is a good time to replace the hoses and belt if they seem worn. You will need an oilpan gasket, front cover gasket, front crank shaft oil seal, water pump gasket and oil pick up tube "0" rings. Good Luck
