1998 Disco Power Steering Gear Box Leak
Bought a 1998 Disco I about a year ago. Had power steering leak when I purchased it. Just fed it with fluid until it got worse about a month ago. Decided to clean all the gunk off it with a power washer and find the leak. When I did I was able to find the leak. It is on the gear box on one bolt. Tried tightening it. No dice.
Any advice on how to repair it? Preferably without ripping the whole gear box out and replacing it. Is there a gasket I can pull and replace?
Here are a few pictures

from my experience with that similar situation....if you remove the top four bolts , and the center adjuster...that top piece is sealed with an o-ring>>>>and it needs to be the RIGHT o-ring....search for a seal kit for the box and usually that o ring is included ...but not listed separately on most of the popular parts sites

Thanks for all the info. Bought a seal kit and began taking the top of the gear box apart (while installed in the vehicle). It was not easy. Not sure who worked on it last but those four bolts must have been put on with an impact wrench.
Now I am unable to pull that top plate to change the o-ring. I tried consulting the great youtube and it looks like you might have to unbolt the bolt to the drop arm and pull the whole shaft assmbly out.
Any thoughts?
