Quick and to the point. My rover over heated yesterday and I had it towed home. I got up this morning to fill it with antifreeze to see if it would overflow again. I started in my drive and let it run for about 30 minutes in which it did start to overheat again. So after it cooled down I went out to take the thermostat out (Hoping this would stop it from over heating) and to my surprise there was no thermostat. I'm puzzled as to what is making it overheat now? Could it be the radiator clogged? Please advise.
Thanks,

well im new to the rover scene, grew up on jeeps
, If there isn't a thermostat in when you looked more than likely there has been problems in the past. Any warning lights on before or during the overheat process ? When you ran it up did you sit inside and watch the gauge ? did it slowly just go up and up, or did it stay low and then spike ? Have you checked the hoses ? Is the top one hot and the bottom cold ?...these are all things that should be checked when diagnosing a cooling issue, If you have done these things already plz post your result's and im sure the guru's of the forum will have a fair chance of diagnosing your problem.
