- fuel filter on a D2....not sure, I have a D1 so can't confirm (thus the virtue of posting in the D2 section)
- codes.... clear them all and see what comes back
- MAF could be bad, difficult to diagnose.
- I'd bet on a bad IACV.
- air filter...that needs to be there. No telling how much it was run without one and/or what is in your intake manifold. Ultimately it may need to be removed, inspected, cleaned, replaced but that is further down the line.
Often it is difficult to diagnose these things all at once. It is more of a process of elimination where you try to buy as few parts as possible...until you need to in order to go further into the process.

The fuel filter is in the fuel pump and unfortunately it's not replaceable.
When my Engine died because of the failing CPS, I didn't have any fault codes or an engine symbol on the dash which I though was rather odd. I had to google the engine random dying problem while sitting in Atlanta traffic in 90 degree weather waving people around me until the CPS cooled off enough to restart the engine.

Howdy everyone...
Bad news. Changed the crank sensor out with a new Bosch and did not make a difference at all. Also cleaned my purge valve out which was completely clogged and my PCV valve. Drove half mile up the road, running fine then boom... Stalled and shut off. Lights, radio and everything stayed on. It's almost like the key just shut off. Sometimes it misses a little right before it dies but usually it just suddenly dies. When in park, I can rev limitlessly and it does not shut off. Only when driving.
Any other ideas?

You know the two hoses on each side of the engine that connects to the PCV valve in the valve covers? The little round tube that had the plastic spiral things in them? Well the one on passenger side was completely clogged up and hardened with debris. I clean it like new and reinstalled. When I pulled the hose off the driver side, there was no little spiral plastic piece in there at all. Is the driver side supposed 5o have one of the PCV pieces as well?
Does this not sound like a fuel pump issue? I dont know but I have been working and piddling like crazy on this thing, it is KILLING me lol, I am ready to be driving my disco again!
