Default 2000 LR Discovery 2 - Starts, Drives, No Power.

I have a (new to me that I bought):

2000 Land Rover Discovery II.

It starts, idles fairly smooth around 700 rpm, shifts in reverse and drive. It has normal acceleration power in park or neutral. When I drive it, it accelerates to around 30 mph, but not much more so no top end power.

1. Has exhaust off from catalytic converters
2. One Key which is electronic and cover to chip missing. It starts the vehicle.
3. The Key does not match the driver door key lock (this entire driver door latch looks replaced).
4. Lights come on dash only when start. None stay on.
5. The security red light never comes on. Beeps
6. When I have vehicle idling and press the door lock button on dash, it shuts off.
7. I have to manually unlock each door (but locks doors but does not unlock doors)
8. No lights on when driving.

Do you think vehicle is in LIMP mode if knowing it starts, drives up to 30mph?

I cannot try re-setting because drive door handle key does not match. How will I ever be able to fix this?

Other knowns: Driver Side Power Window regulator and motor out of door. Power steering pump is bad and leaking. Any help is much appreciated.

That I am unsure of. I should get that tested.

No it does not rev up when driving.

I can start engine and it idles nicely. Rev it up through all RPMS so strong motor. But when I drive down the road, I punch on the gas and it will only go up to around 25-30 mph. That’s about 2-3 blocks. It might go higher given a longer stretch of road. The REVs are in coordination with the speed. It’s an automatic and does not rev high when punching the gas. It just seems to that I put the pedal to floor and it sounds mean but just doesn’t have the punch to get it up to higher speeds. The revs match the speed. They don’t go high when driving or punching it to floor.

have you got any light s on the dash? sounds like it could be gearbox issue, possibly clutch packs or solenoid, what does it rev to before gear change?

No security light blinks at all. Just beeps when turning key to position 2. Lights come on dash on when start as normal then no lights remain upon engine running or driving it.

It idles at around 700 rpms in Park or Neutral. When in PARK or neutral, I can give it gas steadily and it revs all the way up like normal to 4000, 5000, 6000 and it comes right back down to normal.

When I drive it, the Revs are in coordination with the speeds, so if I go 15 mph, it revs maybe 2000 like normal.

When I drive it, there are no rev changes except normal (relative) to the speed I am going. When I push the pedal to floor, it does not rev up more than relative to the speed (still 25 mph, maybe 3000 RPMs). It just don’t get up and go when I punch it (RPMs remain relative to the speed)

another solution is give the gear box a service new filter and oil could be either low on oil or filter and oil are bad
