Default 2001 Disco II Diagnostics Help

First of all, I would like to thank this community for motivating me to work on my vehicle, and helping me a ton.

Secondly, I need your help again.

I had all of my codes fixed for almost 24 hours before a whole new batch of them popped up. I cleaned my MAF sensor, replaced my air filter, and changed my spark plugs and spark plug wires--because of a misfire and it was overdue.

These are the new codes.
P1172
P1175
P0171
P0174
P0734

Where should I start? Do I need to fully replace my MAF sensor? Is it failing? Most of these codes were pending, except for P0374. I am going to get my transmission fluid changed this weekend. My 2001 Disco II has 93,222 miles on it.

Thanks in advance,
Jared

Jared
Hola
I doubt whether you fixed the root causes simply because after clearing the hard codes you are driving through the drive cycles and the ECM is recording faults which can be found in Mode 6 of a pro scanner. Eventually the pending soft codes will become hard codes and on will come the Check Engine light.

I see that P1172 tells me the 02 sensors on both banks are running too rich

Now interestingly P0171 and p0174 tell me that the engine is running too lean on both banks so we have some mixture adaption faults going on.
I think your engine needs some closer analysis to pin point the problems.

Remember running an engine for too long with missfires can compromise the catalizers which may also have a bearing on running inefficiently.
Sorry I can't be more helpful without the need for more diagnostic information and an exhaust gas analysation.

You need a new MAF.

Second that. Almost surely MAF. Also second the note about cats. Misfires and resultant carbon/gas ruined mine in very short order.

Great,

I will replaced my MAF sensor this weekend, once I receive the T20 security screw driver, and update you all with results!

Thanks for your advice.

I hate to bring bad news, but if you look closely, it's not torx. Notice there are only 5 lobes.

But a security pentalobe even, because there is a pin in the middle. Different than the bottom of my iPhone.

I used vice grips. They aren't very tight.
