Default 2001 Disco transfer case explosion

I hope you guys dont mind a jeep guy on your forums. I am in need of some help , basically I need some info on the transfercase in a 2001 diso. My mom bought this one a year and a half ago from an individual who didnt mind being raped at the dealership. The maintenance was all done by the factory recomendations on time like clockwork. When she bought it it had a 68,xxx miles on it and clean. I will skip the previous nightmares we have had with it so far and get to the point. Yesterday she called telling me about a violently loud "bomb" sound from up under the disco while she was driving. she said there is red oil everywhere. I had her peek up under the truck and told her to look for a driveshaft hanging down and she immediately said the front one is off near the transmission. (4 months ago my tj did the same thing so i had experience with the same thing)
I am going to be doing the replacement of the tcase and just needed to know any and all availible info on the damned thing. i have rebuilt 3 different np transfercases on jeeps and i assume i should be able to figure this one out as well unless there is something I am not aware of. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

You might want to send me your tele number, you have a hand full of problems. Most likely brake the front drive shaft and punched a hole in the tranny.
