2001 Land Rover Discovery II SE-Loaded, w/lockible transfer case conv.
2001 Land Rover Discovery II SE
I bought this Discovery in mid 2007 after it was traded in by the 1st owner and have loved driving it. Unfortunately, my wife and I are cutting back on expenses and have decided to sell the Discovery as we have 3 vehicles now and this is the only one we haven't paid off yet. This Discovery runs and drives very well, the rare Kent Green paint and body are in great shape, and everything works just as it should. It is a very eye-catching car!
Factory options include:
Land Rover 18" Mondial wheels, Running boards, Dual sunroofs, Trailer hitch, Leather Seats, Premium sound system with 6 CD changer, Cruise control, Heated windshield and back glass, Heated/Power front seats, Power windows, Power locks, Tilt steering wheel, Auto-darkining rear view mirror with digital compass, Cargo cover, A/C, P/S, 4wheel Anti lock brakes, 4wheel Traction control, Hill Descent Control, Dual air bags, and Security system. It also has General Grabber AT2 tires with very good tread.
Ever since I got this car I have used synthetic oil, changed every 3000mi. At around 100,000mi, I replaced all coolant lines and hoses, thermostat, spark plugs, spark plug wires, both valve cover gaskets, and all intake gaskets.
While the original transmission was in very good working order, I recently had to replace it after a bad centering ball in the front driveshaft let go and cracked the case. The new transmission has about 88,000mi on it and operates flawlessly. While replacing the transmission, I also installed a newer front driveshaft and upgraded the transfer case to the version which has the center differential lock option.
The only real faults on the exterior would be in the form of a few cracks in the front bumper cover, a cracked rear turn signal lens, and 2 missing rear trim pieces (came loose after going through an automatic car wash).
On the interior, there is normal wear to the leather seats, but all in all, it is in good condition.
I do quite a bit of interstate driving, so this car currently has 162,000mi, but being highway miles, it runs like others with half the mileage.
You may find a number of these cars for sale, but not many which have been maintained as well as this one, receiving anything it needed to keep it in proper operating condition.
The entire owners manual bag/binder, the owners video, and the original owner's dealer receipts all will come with the car.
Pictures can be seen at http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b2...sel/Discovery/
Asking $5500 OBO
If you have any questions, want more pictures, or would like to look at the car, feel free to E-mail or call me. If I don't answer, please leave a message and I will call you back ASAP.
Thanks,
Phillip
