Have an issue where gear shift won't go out of park and brake lights aren't working. Googled the info and was told probably the brake pin (will cause both issues if bad). Tried two pins, no joy. Was told could also be the neutral safety switch. Gear will not go into gear unless I lift the cover and push the bronze **** that temporarily unlocks, but is no assistance on brake lights . Any ideas would be appreciated. I'm not too auto literate, much less Land Rover literate so any assistance or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks...

 

Did you check the fuse?

 

Did you check the brake switch on the pedal?
