Default 2004 disco oil light only at startup. help!

Hello everyone. New to this forum. I have a 2004 disco. 133000 Miles and runs great. No knocks, ticks or tacks. About 2 weeks ago my oil light came on one morning after I started my car. 5 seconds or so later, the light would go off and not come on again all day. The only time the light will return is in the mornings after start, then quickly go away again. I've checked my oil level, checked pressure hot and cold, and replaced the sensor switch. My level and pressure are fine. Also, the light will usually come on briefly, after being parked on steep hills. It appears as there are no leaks either. Does anyone have any ideas what else this could be? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm no expert but you seemed to have checked out everything I would have done. Any fault codes with the IID tool? Maybe even unplug the battery and reconnect.

No need to worry ... all your oil settles in the crankcase bottom of engine ,as long as the engine is off an is sitting for a while ,...so when you start up on mornings the oil pump has to pump oil up to the rocker area ( top of engine )then gravity allows it to flow back down , to start the process again... so it takes a few seconds for the oil light to come of , or may flash briefly on mornings until the oil totally passes/cover's the oil unit/sensor ...same apply's to hills which is why ,you should never rev up the engine when cold starting ... if the oil light ever comes on while driving , pull over and switch off the engine ASAP...

However if the oil in the engine is at the correct level , according to the dip stick , and the light still flicker's the oil unit wire may be loose , or the unit is faulty...
