So, I made a poor decision and had a local shop, Harley's try to rebuild my disco engine and after 3 and 1/2 months said the crankshaft machining didnt work, wont turn..you need a new crankshaft $800 and we want another $2000 for labor. After investing 2100 already I asked why I couldnt get a crankshaft of ebay or a vendor for cheaper..long story short..was told to gtf and get my rover off their property. SO, now I have all the parts(and they are labled) and I have a "certified" crank that I purchased..but its all just parts ready to put back in. Of course, no one wants to do this work because someone else took it apart. Does anyone have advice on someone in this area that may have the skills and accept to do this work ? Or am I at the point that this is a large paperweight that I need to sell for parts?
