Engine won't turn on Discovery 1 '99
I have ran in to some issues with my Discovery 1(1999, V8 3.9L)
It stopped while reversing it. The car had before that happened been parked for a few hours so the engine was cold. I first thought it was a fuel line issue since it felt like the engine choked but it wasn't the case.
After recharging the battery and link it up with another car to make sure it wasn't a battery issue I tried to start it again but it with no luck.
Since then I have:
- Replaced the starter motor
- Removed the timing belt
- Removed all spark plugs
- Bypassed the ground
- Poured some oil into the spark plug holes
It still don't move more than a little every time I try to start it. I can see the pistons moving looking in to a spark plug hole when turning the ignition.
Tomorrow I will try to turn it manually to see if I have any luck with that. But after that I'm pretty much out of ideas.
All fluids was ok even if the engine oil was due for a change.
Any suggestions?
