Default 2004 disco water leak

Newbie to lrforum, just noticed the passenger's side floor pretty wet? My wife also mentioned that she noticed it a week ago, just failed to tell me! Is it some kinda plugged up a/c drain? Started the car and saw water leaking from backside of center console. Any suggestion would really help out!! Thanks

Does the water have a sweet smell? If it does it is your heater core.

Thanks Willie, I kinda came to that conclusion, the hot water that was leaking had a coolant smell to it. I bypassed the core for now since I live in Southern Cali and really don't need the heater at this moment. I also heard it's pretty time consuming to replace. Thanks again

Thats good you could bypass the heater and use the vehical. Ilooked at my manual. It looks like you have to remove the dash to change the heater core. You might want to search this site for heater core replacement, maybe there is an easier way.
