2003 Disco - Indicator Light on -Temp Gauge Pinned on Cold
2003 Discovery
Flushed my radiator + bled accordingly.
1. Turned vehicle on:
a. temp gauge stays pinned cold bottom.
b. red dot light on just above temp gauge and gauge never moves from cold
2. Had 2nd person check coolant temp sensor wires checked and straightened out when started second time.
a. Then the gauge needle went up to top and then back to bottom cold immediately with 0 additional movement so turned off ASAP.
b. No secondary signs of any overheating.
c. No other issues occurring related.
*Could we not have bled properly or sensor - engine coolant temp gone bad
--Is there any suggestions to verify has been bled correctly and done?
--What is best method to verify is sensor bad other then replace?
--To confirm, if replace sensor, is that a wiring harness that unplugs from sensor once unscrew? [then the wire harness with the green-red wires plug into new sensor after you screw in-as in pic below]
