Hi I am new to this forum and I’m new to range rovers . I just bought my first Range Rover sport hse 2008 . My car will start but will not engage into gear . I have replaced the brake switch . But it will still not engage . I have the F showing on the dash . Which I think means the vehicle is in limp mode. I also bought the iid tool from gap diagnostics . I am planning on putting in new solenoids and new trans filter and fluid . But if anyone can help me to fix my problem I would be forever grateful . And I’m not going to the dealer . I am pretty good at mechanic work so I will be fixing it myself. But any help would be greatly appreciated . Thank you sincerely Staxx Bundles

 

Hi Staxx, Congrats on joining the Rover family. You'll have better luck with any questions if you post in the Range Rover Sport specific subforum. A good search first should uncover some things to look into to get you started - this is a fairly common problem. Good luck.
