Hi,

I have a 1994 td5 Discovery and the gearbox packed it in. I've been looking for a replacement for a reasonable price and all I can seem to find is a gearbox from a 200tdi disco and a 300tdi disco..

Will either of these fit in my TD5? Would there be any changes to the drive if I
were to install one?

Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks.

 

200TDI uses the LT77 and 300TDI uses the same R380 as the TD5, i would expect the TDI R380 to be a bolt in swap for the TD5 but i cant 100% confirm that.

Ratios are the same so there will be no change at all, may as well replace the clutch and check that the dual mass flywheel is still good.
