Hello, brand new to the forum.

I just bought the vehicle yesterday and my kids were in the second row and they tapped on the storage and it opened and now it won’t shut. Do you have any suggestions on fixes or videos that show someone fixing that mechanism? If nothing else, do you know how to responsibly take it out so I can see if there are broken pieces behind the storage door? Thanks.

The green tape is just to keep it from flopping out.

Make sure the unlock button or remote control is working properly. Sometimes a problem with the power lock or remote control system can prevent the trunk from locking or unlocking.
