Hi, this is my first post on this forum and would appreciate any help or advice.

I have a Disco1 300tdi auto and have just finished fitting a new kickdown cable and while at it I fitted a service kit. Having finished the job I was about to test drive when..

With the use of the selector gear stick I cannot select all the options but more worryingly I only have forward drive, no reverse although it does seem to select neutral or park when the selector is as far forward as it can go...

The job seemed quite straight forward so can't understand what's wrong!!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...
