Default 4 wheel drive

hello everybody
as anyone come across the prob i have with my P reg land rover
as i am coasting to a roundabout it jumps out of 4wd and stops halfway in and out
i can then get no gears i put it back in and its fine until the next time
it somtimes goes when i brake no other probs with gears
please help bryan

out of 4 wheel drive? land rover are have permanent 4 wheel drive

I'd check the linkages underneith for loose connections, then under the boot for obstructions or loose connections, also make sure your putting it all the way in high or low, sometimes you put it in place and it is not really there, just shift to drive and as the truck rollsa bit forward, pull it to netruel then back into high in a quick and firm fashon. if it locks in ans seems to go further than usaual, that problem is that you were never locking it all the way.

probably what mike said. after i fixed my transfer case shifting issues i took me a few minutes to figure that out.
