She wont lock with the button, (just makes a gear skipping sound), so im guessing its a stripped gear or bad solenoid...Anyone know how to pop off the inside door panel to gain access...Ive done it on my old subaru with ease but this car seems to wanna be more difficult...Thanks for any instructions in advanncceee!!!

 

Rovers aren't difficult they are just English.
Stick a thin blade like a putty knife between the door and the door panel and work you way all the way around, popping the clips without breaking too many. May have one screw in or near the inside door handle and you are in.

see, that's what i thought but i am breaking every clip...lol...i guess trip to LR dealer to get new clips after i am done...
