Anyone have any advice or can help me out with this one? I'm looking to purchase a 3.9L disco and swap my 4.0L into it! I've heard of this done, but was wondering what all was involved...any sites out there with this conversion? i've looked to no avail.

Unless you want a coil pack and not the distrributor you have
a 4.0L its a round down thing instead of rounding up like they
should have.

Other than that I don't know what all you will need.

 

Why do you want the 4.0 over your 3.9?

 

I have a rusted out 96 with the 4.0... and i'm looking at purchasing a 95 with a ton of miles on a 3.9L... so my thought was to part out mine and swap the engines, b/c i've finally got mine running very strong! thoughts?

 

Then find your self a short block set up to run a distributor and swap it out.

 

why not a 4.2 or 4.6?
