97' Disco Restart Issues
Good day Land Rover Forum
I have a 1997 Land Rover Discovery and having a restart issue. It starts up and runs beautifully, but when I turn off the engine and try to restart it up again, it fails to start up again. After 15 minutes or so, it will start up and run beautifully again! My head is going to burst and have a spot from scratching. Any suggestions and knowledgeable help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Rick

ok i understand ...but if it turns over the starter is working ,
the solenoid does not work after you release the ignition key ... your starter and solenoid just sits there, until the next time you switch off ,and are ready to start up...
check you fuel filter first ( see if its tightened and if its sealing properly , if its losing pressure , it will start after trying a few time , until the fuel come back up ...

Thank you Abran, I was told that is was the Crank Position Sensor as well I bought a new one just need to install. I took my Rover to a specialist and he told me it was the Fuel Pump! Thats a 399.99 part! Now I don't know WTF! LOL put I will try the CPS and get a fuel pump at half the cost somewhere I also bought a new Fuel Filter and upstream sensors too, soon there where be all new parts
I need to go get my Rover back and pay the Diagnosis fee, put know since the mechanic had it, he mentioned it doesn't start anymore! Figures right? lol, time to us my AAA card and go get it, repair it myself
