ABS and TC lights stuck on, did post in the wrong 'suggestions section' sorry, I am new to this!
What does this mean and is it safe to drive! TD5 twin cab 02 defender, java black SE
Happened halfway through ajourney, after taking a short break, when I started up again the lights just stayed on. The diesel filter light is also on, but thats always on because of mud, suggestions here too please.

Yes this is somewhat normal and there should be no saftey issue, your ABS brakes are probably still working.
Should try and get it into your shop when you can and have them check for codes.

Looking through some messages seems to be a common problem, not much faith in my local dealer after an early prob went unnoticed on their plug in computer, costing £££'s and no prob detected they even took it for a ride and said you have a prob but we cant find it.... looking under the bonnet later on ourselves we found the air filter hose was broke!
Just worried, as the absdid sound different earlier today, usual judder on a steep down hill right hand bendwas more of a purr! although brakes do work.....just hope they stay working. It does a lot of towing if that helps.

I wouldn't let it go too long, the ECU can shut down more of the Brakes ETC, HDC and ABs functions if it keeps picking up problems.
