Mike,
>the ABS Does come on during panic stop-(lucky on that one)
To date......
P1590 code returns immediantly after clearing.
When starting engine> TC light and HDC light both turn OFF for self check-then both lights turn ON and stay ON.
>all 4 ABS sensors are 996-1000ohms.
>all 4 ABS sensors produce (0.7v-0.9v driver front) to (0.5v-0.7 all others) with free spinning wheel at idle.
>cleaned 5 Grounds under hood, 2 at airbox, 3 at fusebox/battery fender.
>tested ground at ABS pump-good.
>tested all relays under the hood-all good.
>new pads and new rotors. (tested each wheel brake caliper works)
>performed the hard wire option from the http://www.landroverclubvi.com/abs-mod.html site......tested at proper resistances as per pictures....and manualy depressed 1svs and 2svs checked out good, no brake oil leaks. 3024ohms, 2015ohms, and 1005ohms.
>all 4 ABS sensors make continuity at the slabs comp connector.-good.
>no blown fuses...all seem to have power on both sides. (removed and checked)
> i did all the continuity testing on the 2 service bullitins posted on the link above and it leads me to the last resort....change modular unit fallowed by replace slabs computer.-bad, bad, bad.
-Is there a way to check the pin-out on the ABS module (13-pin connector) itself for function? i cant find any good data, and my unit tests continuity allover the place...the outside(1,5,10,13) pins all test aprox 2.9ohms and the inside pins(2,4,11,12) all test aprox 6.3ohms continuity to the large ground plug just below. the sets (1,2)(4,5)(10,11)(12,13) test 9.8ohms between eachother. some variation with pin 13 but when I power sequences all of them make tick noise inside module.
thoughts, suggestions? maybe I missed soemthing?
thanks a bunch,
