Default Advice On Replacing Lower Control Arm Pls

Hi,

So at the weekend I hit a kerb/verge doing about 50mph, don't ask lol, and my passenger side lower control arm (wishbone thingy) is bent and is forcing my wheel into the wheelarch so it's not drivable.

I have had the wheel off and it looks like something I could tackle myself but I have a very limited toolkit so was wondering if anyone could tell me what tools I will need to do the job please and also if it's as simple as it looks? I was an mech engineer many many moons ago so can hold a spanner and work a hammer

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Cheers

Judgey

Ditto, our Jedi powers are weak... but you can also downlaod the factory shop manuals, called the RAVE, and review the the needed practices. Rovers do bend, so it might be more than unbolt - bolt on. Between 2 and 3 tons of motivating object, striking a fixed spot. Math is not on your side.

Not sure on the diesels, but on the NAS ones it's pretty straight forward, worst part is lining it all back up under spring tension, but not bad.

Do not work on the vehicle with it only supported by the jack that came with it.

I recommend jack stands, as you will be pulling and hitting on the truck to get everything out and lined back up.
