Default Alt Meter & clinometer?

I assume this isn't factory on anything Land Rover. Its mounted currently on a discovery. Anyone know if it's aftermarket or came from something? It doesn't fit the dashboard to well. I've never seen another car/truck/suv with one before.

Agreed. I put a Lev-O-Gauge in mine and it comes in handy.

What is a safe angle? I know it says 30 degrees, but I think that is a bit much?

stock your truck could do 45. however most people have roof racks a 2" lift and 32" mud terrains so probably 35-40... i think that thing is useless and hideous. put something useful in, like an oil guage, not some stupid toy to make ur truck look cool to somebody who has no clue how to off-road.

There was one car that I know of that came stock with something like that, and that was the second, and possibly first generations Mitsubishi Montero. It did not have an altimeter that I am aware of though. I think that's actually pretty cool, I always loved the idea in the Montero. I have an app on my phone that acts as a clineometer, the only problem is that since it is not on a fixed and leveled mount like yours, it might not be quite as accurate.
