Hi all I'm new around here. Im wondering if anyone can help me out. When i turn off the car 2003 defendér. The brake lights remain on sometimes. And other times when i come back to the car the lights have come on while i was away.

Also with the car running i can pull out the key from the ignition and with the brake pedal depressed the car will remain running. The engine stops when i release the pedal. Anyone able to tell me what's going on? And hopefully how i can go about fixing it?
