Hope I'm paying this in the right area. I want to buy a discovery. Always been a fan. Tomorrow I'll be looking at a 1999 land rover discovery 2. Has 185k miles and he wants 1000. He says it needs brakes badly, needs electrical work, car alarm is set off when you lock and unlock car?, sunroof not functioning. Besides frame what else should I look for?

 

You should look for another example.

Even at $1000, those sort of electrical gremlins, and the non-fucntioning sunroof's (because the motors have seized due to water infiltration) would be enough to send me looking elsewhere.
