Default Can't get the interior fuse box out

2002 Disco II

Having a problem with no power to A/C blower motor. Have check all the obvious stuff in the posts. Want to check backside of interior fuse box for a faulty connection. I Removed the 10mm nut at the top and lifted the bottom up & out of it's retainer, now the fuse box is floating around loose in there, but I can't seem to wiggle it out to get a look at the backside. It just seem to want to hang up on everything. I really don't want to put to much pressure on it and do some real damage! What's the trick to getting this thing out so you can get a good look at it!

Default Fuse box

I just removed my fuse box last weekend to fix blower motor circuit. I had to pull pretty hard on it and keep turning it until it worked its way out. It helps to unplug some of the connectors.

Hey RDB,

Thanks for the reply! I disconnected the two multi-plugs on the front and just start wiggling, twisting and pulling but it just won't come out of that little hole they've got it stuck in. Did you have to remove that Styrofoam block under the steering wheel? Were you able to fix your blower problem? Was it a bad connection on the backside?

There are a bunch of connectors in the back of the fuse box. No Need to remove styrofoam.

Get it turned to the side and start disconnecting the connectors at the rear.

unplug all the wire harness connections, the only way it will come out.
