Hey all, I'm trying to put a factory 6 disk into my 98 disco. I've got all the connections already there and the unit installed but every time I try to play a disk it gives me an 'err' message. It does this no matter if I have one disk in there or six. I've got all the disk's loaded in the right way and I'm using store bought disks. I've tried reading the owners manual and pressing the reset button with no avail.

Any ideas or help would be great. I need to figure out if its the player thats defunt before my return window closes.

Sounds like the changer or DIN cable is bad. The DIN cable is the large black one. Swap out a known good one.

 

Any suggestions where I can get one other than from the dealer?
