RE: Change Spark Plug Wires 99 Disco 2
Not PLUGs brother, plug wires and coil pack. It will take you way more than 30 minutes to find the parts online, buy them and figure out how to do it. The Plug wires all terminate to the back of the engine, where the coil pack is snuggled with barely enough room to touch the top of it. If you can replace that mess in 30 minutes, god loves ya more than me.

Here were the symptoms. Check engine light blinking. Multiple misfire. Cyl 4, 7 misfire. Loss of horsepower, rough engine running. I took it to the dealer and they hosed me for $110.00 to literally hose my wires. They said that one of my wires was arcing and wanted $952.00 to replace all 8. I decided to get it out of the dealer immediately. I checked online and realized that the 4 and 7 leads are right next to each other on the same coil pack. Intuitively, the coil pack is shot. This is a $700.00 part at the dealer. So they were going to nail me for another $700.00 + install for the coilpack as soon as they got the intake manifold off and I was trapped. So I went to EBAY and bought a used but tested coil pack for $100.00 + $15.00 Shipping. On another website I purchased new plug wires and a upper intake manifold gasket for about $95.00 including shipping. Now I have to figure out how to pull it all apart and snap it all together. It is not brain surgery, so I want to do it myself. With the $1,500.00 I save I will take the family to Florida in the Landy.

They make a coil pack relocation kit. It mounts just left of the AC compressor. Just abandon the old coils behind the plenum.
