Clicking from driver's rear wheel – '03 DII
Hey everyone,
New LRF member though I've owned and loved several Rovers.
I have an '03 DII with 88k miles that lived in a hot, dry climate (AZ). I went ahead and replaced ball joints, track rod, and tie rod end. I'm hearing a "clacking" sound from the passenger's rear wheel only at low speed and only when I'm off the brake. As soon as I'm back on the brake, the clacking goes away immediately.
I replaced the Watts linkage thinking that could be the culprit, but no dice. Any ideas on what's going on? I'm reading that it could be the CV boot, but that might not make sense because of how pressing the brake gets rid of the noise.
Appreciate any help.
