Spacers on old coil springs is not a good combination, you will get some lift but it will be top heavy, I would be to save up some money and do it right for a much better ride.
Whos' shocks are you running?

Lots of people do it, stay 2" or under and you'll be fine.

I put in some 2" spacers from terra-firma. I used to get slight tire rub when making sharp turns. This fixed that issue. I also replaced my shocks at the same time. I did reuse my springs tho.

I'm glad I did it.

It's not clear why you want the lift. Do you run those tires now or you want to?

If you already have the tires, then there's apparently no need for the lift and it will just raise your roll center farther above the CoG and mess up the handling. It's true that people do 2" lifts and get away with it all the time but it's not true that their car handles better afterward. Most people are just lifting to fit tires and not to make the car handle better.

If you don't offroad then the tires don't move much in the wheel wells and you don't need a lot of clearance from a lift.
