Default Could be ABS??? point me in the right direction

Hey ...I'm a new guy. I used to do my own work (a porsche, 2 volvos and a chevette) when I was young and cars were simple ... to about the mid 80's.

I don't really have a great deal of trust for my landrover dealer. I found a mechanic I trust a great deal but I think this one might be pushing the limit of his expertise ...

I came ot a stop in my 2002 disco sd and got an abs alarm, decnt control alarm and a traction control alarm. This mechanic thinks it the ABS module and is concerned over cost. I surfed the web and the prevalent word is ABS modulator and I'm seeing rebuild kits and services for what looks reasonable. Is that one and the same as a module?

Point me int heright direction if you would... also any insight intothe value of teh just answers website mechanics??

Thansk for your help upfront.

if the code is for a shuttle valve failure then yes it will need a new abs modulator kit. It runs around 800 or so.
