Default Cruise Control Issue

Sooo.. I came back from a long trip, used my cruise control on the way down, but on the way back wouldn't work at all. We just aren't sure where to start to troubleshoot this particular problem. We don't know if we should pursue or just start replacing parts. Any ideas would be great. It's a 2000 Disco Series II - 74,000 miles. Thanks!!

check the vacuum lines. they usually develop cracks.

yes probably a vac. line unless the system won't turn on but I am assuming it will but it is not setting. There is not much to it either so you won't have any trouble inspecting them.

Yeah - it will turn on - just won't set. Going to try to get a look at it while the wee ones are napping. So hard to mommy and play with my car!!

Don't forget to inspect the lines where they are attached to the brake pedal.
