Default Cruise control issue.

Hello all,
I got a disco 2 se7 209000 miles. everything works except the CC. I replaced the cracked vac hose. the dash button works and I can hear a click behind the glove box when I pull the res button but nothing when I pull the set button. I've looked for the vac hose from the break pedal as recommended, but I can't find one. not sure of any other tests I can do so any info will be appreciated

Owner's Manual:
Press the ‘SET +’ switch to set the vehicle
speed in the system's memory.
Have you tried pressing set?

Appreciate your understanding.

Others likely to have suggestions and I'll try taking a look at it later when time permits.

Do you have copies of the Maintenance and Electrical manuals from the RAVE? They are helpful in describing the relatively simple operation.

Vacuum diaphragm and the vacuum pump. Check the diaphragm for leaks (cracked) and vacuum pump for operation (seized). Real tough stuff here........ Those are the most commonly bunged up components wether it's a DII or a D1, same same.

Glad to hear it's working without too much pain/expense. One of those systems I don't like to be without.
