I have a 1973 landrover series 3 deisel. really noisy, wanting some ideas on how to cut down the inside noise so you can carry on a conversation.

 

lol! count your blessings you even own something as cool as that! i really dont think you have much choice--the interior is basically the metal shell right? you can try to add some sound deadening material, but youd have to upholster it all in, and that seems really really involved. just dont drive over 35mph? but honestly, you are pretty much stuck, youd have to engineer all sorts of stuff in order to achieve a quieter ride...i might trade you my 97 disco for that tho!

 

the middle seat is out of this one so the only thing seperating the interior from the engine is a thin peice of metal. what about something like a custom raised center console (like in a hummer H1). any ideas?? .....
